[Cold. Overcast. It's a stark contrast to the warmth and rays that Terra had felt not too long ago, and he frowns at the skies like they'll tell him what's going on. No Keyblade, no clothes, no items ... and no memories of how he ended up here.

And that was without taking those strange wings into account.

He walks through the wet grass, pausing long enough to scoop up a book that barely sticks out against the tall grasses. He flips it open, scanning. Little boxes, little switches and buttons... He pushes a few of the buttons experimentally.]

Odd book. Doesn't look like a command board... Huh.

...Not the time for this.

[With a shrug, he snaps the journal shut, not aware that it had recorded what he was saying.

By the time he opens the journal again, he'll have made his way to the dd New Feather watch station. Somewhere fairly safe where he can dig up some ill-fitting clothes for himself.

He'll give the journal a second look now that he's at least found some shelter.]

[Sorry Ven. The only sound you'll hear is the thump sound as Terra shuts the journal.

...Give him some time.]

Terra, wait! It's me, Ven!

[Nope, he's not giving up. In fact, he'll probably keep trying to talk to him until he opens the journal again.]

[It's several minutes later, after Terra's gotten into the watch station and found a shirt and boots. He flips open the journal again, and is immediately bombarded by the voice messages that Ven left.]

Ven?

[Riku doesn't respond right away. It takes him a moment to listen to the message, look at the picture, and then think of what to say.

So it's probably pretty close to the time he reaches the station that Riku finally speaks up. Might as well stay calm...]

I'd keep that journal, if I were you.

[Unfamiliar voice. Well, the book's definitely magical -- that's for sure now. He might as well answer.]

It seems pretty important.

It is. Most people use the journals to communicate; it's pretty convenient when you're far away.

[...Hm.]

If you can make it to the village, you should be able to find your clothes.

Communicating from far away. [He absorbs that, a brow ticking up curiously.] Where's this village?

[While he asks, he wonders about this kid. He looks familiar, but that's ... gotta be a coincidence, right?]

[She heard Ven bolt out the door suddenly and tried to go after him but he was long gone, she couldn't even tell which direction he went it. She searched around for him for a while but was getting nowhere fast, so he heads back home to try the journals. Maybe there she could find a clue on where he went. And sure enough she sees Terra's post to the network. So... that's why. By now Ven has probably found Terra.]

Terra!

[It'll take Terra a moment to respond to Aqua, as Ven's doing his best impression of an excited puppy at the moment. When he gets a moment while they're walking back to the village, Terra acknowledges his journal again.

His first reaction is to apologize, but that's ... probably not the best way to approach this. Months, Ven had said.]

Sorry I took so long, Aqua.

[...Never mind. Can't ignore an initial reaction like that.]

It's... [A pause. She's just so relieved to hear his voice right now and—it might have to wait a moment. When she speaks again there's a worried tone to it.] It's fine. Terra, is Ven with you?

Yes, he's here with me. [He's not sure what to do with the journal exactly, but since he can see Aqua's picture, maybe she can see Ven if he turns the book towards him for a moment.

Terra holds the book back in front of him after a moment.] We're heading back to the village now. ...He said you've been here awhile.

[nothing or idk if ven drags him home this can become action or not or whatevs~]

[ Wait. That voice, that face. Something jogs in Repliku's memory, a memory far too old to be his. He still can't help the rush or eager excitement that it sends through him, finally seeing after ten years the man he himself didn't even exist to meet.

For a few painful, painful minutes, he considers whether or not to respond. Reach out to him, tell him something.

But those were Riku's memories. Not his.

So without writing anything, he closes his journal and heads for home, getting back to miss Ven leaving the house by only a minute or two. ]

What's a command board?

[though he really only asked because he wasn't sure how else to initiate a conversation. "haven't I seen you somewhere before... a long time ago, maybe? why do I remember something about pirates?" only about 95 percent sure Terra's not a pirate, over here.]

Hm? [Considering this is a little later on, Terra is surprised someone's actually commenting on what he'd muttered.] It's a kind of game board.

[...so the third of the body-snatcher older trio has arrived. Okay, right. Roxas didn't really get a chance to meet Terra before, but he's a friend of Ven and Aqua's. He can't be too bad, right?

...except that's kind of an odd thing to say.]

Then it's probably not a command board then, is it?

[Voice]

I guess not. [There's a pause as Terra regards that voice and face that the journal shows him. Looks somewhat like Ven, sounds somewhat like Ven... But there are differences.

And so he comes to a conclusion.]

You must be Roxas.

[Voice]

[perplexme]

[He's fairly surprised that Terra knows who he is, and so he doesn't respond for a bit. He's going to do his best to keep this casual, really.]

Yeah, I am. Who told you?

[Voice]

[meteorical]

[Give her a moment to analyze what's being said already. It's not as though the conversations are locked. She's figured out who this boy is.]

...so you're the mysterious Terra.

[Voice]

[Someone's gotta learn about this "lock" function on the journals. Soon. Terra makes a curious sound at the new voice.]

I don't know about "mysterious," but I'm Terra.

[Voice]

[Poor Terra. He and Sora can bond over being technologically challenged.]

Mysterious in that "I never got to meet you" sort of way. Are you okay? Did Aqua and Ven find you?

[ normally, she might have passed this entry on by. there wasn't a lot here to really dig into...

... until she heard the voices. Ven, and Riku.

and she spends some time thinking about what she overhears Riku and Terra discussing. was that the secret he kept mentioning all that time? ... would it change anything, even if it was?

still... Riku aside, this person is really important to Ven. ]

So ... you're Terra.

[There is a pause as Terra hears the voice and looks at the person speaking in the journal. Was there something wrong with the picture, because--

No, that couldn't be right. Ven was right next to him, and this was quite a different voice.]

I'm starting to get the feeling Ven talks about me a lot.

[ frankly ... she's completely forgotten how Aqua, Ven, and Vanitas all saw her as Ven at first. at least, forgotten that for the moment. so it doesn't occur to her at all that Terra might see her as...

... but maybe that's for the best. what he says draws a smile out of her. ]

He really admires you. And I think he and Aqua both missed you. So ... it's nice to have you here. Even if this isn't really ... the best place to be, all the time. [ kinda crooked smile. ]
