[Cold. Overcast. It's a stark contrast to the warmth and rays that Terra had felt not too long ago, and he frowns at the skies like they'll tell him what's going on. No Keyblade, no clothes, no items ... and no memories of how he ended up here.

And that was without taking those strange wings into account.

He walks through the wet grass, pausing long enough to scoop up a book that barely sticks out against the tall grasses. He flips it open, scanning. Little boxes, little switches and buttons... He pushes a few of the buttons experimentally.]

Odd book. Doesn't look like a command board... Huh.

...Not the time for this.

[With a shrug, he snaps the journal shut, not aware that it had recorded what he was saying.

By the time he opens the journal again, he'll have made his way to the dd New Feather watch station. Somewhere fairly safe where he can dig up some ~~ill-fitting~~ clothes for himself.

He'll give the journal a second look now that he's at least found some shelter.]

[Despite Ven's response, Terra dwells on the subject.] You two showed up at the same time, and it took several months for me to follow. It doesn't make sense.

Well, you were here for--

[...He stops. Maybe he should wait before revealing that little detail.

Man, this is complicated.]

The New Feather cycles are really random. It's hard to tell who's gonna show up, so it's still not your fault.

[He sighs, letting go of the brooding feeling after another moment.]

Sorry. This isn't even the time to talk about something like that.

Yeah. We should probably keep going, huh?

[If he's gone for too long, Aqua's gonna worry...]

Yeah. [He tries to lighten the mood, even with his thoughts all over the place.] I don't know where we have to go, but it had to be far off for you to get that tired.

It's a few miles away. I ran almost the whole way to get here...

[See that, bro? That's dedication. He could have stopped to catch his breath, but he didn't want to take too long!]

[Yes, that's definitely dedication. But somehow, Terra is not impressed.]

If you collapse on our way back, I'm not going to carry you, you know.

[Except he totally will.]

I'll be okay!

[He stands up super straight and might've puffed his chest out a bit. He wants to be strong, especially since Terra just got here.]

It's just a little workout, right?

Exactly. But it's also about pacing yourself. [Geez, Ven. Who teaches you these things? Terra stands there with his arms akimbo, shrugging to himself.]

Lead the way.

Well, we don't have to rush now.

[Nodding, Ven starts to walk back towards the village. Now that Terra's here, he doesn't have to make a mad dash to get back.]

There's so much I've gotta tell you about, Terra.

[Terra glances down at his journal, the only thing he had actually carried out of the watch station, as he listens to Ven.]

You did say months. I missed out on a lot. [He manages to say this without sounding too disappointed.]

It's okay. Me and Aqua can get you up to speed on everything!

[He grins. True, the past few months have had their rough spots, but there's also a lot of good that's come out of his stay in Luceti, such as all the friends he's made.

Terra just got here, so he shouldn't drop the bomb about Vanitas just yet.]

I think you'll have to. This is a lot to take in. [The time gaps, the wings, getting dumped in the middle of nowhere, his little successor all grown up... Yeah, this was definitely going to take awhile to understand.]

Yeah, I know. It took me a while to get used to, but it's not so bad here.

[And even Riku's age is nothing compared to some of the oddities here...]

There's a bunch of people from the future, though, and one of 'em looks just like me.

[Well, Terra wasn't too surprised by the "people from the future" bit as much as...]

Someone looks just like you?

[A little older by now, but even then...]

His name's Roxas. I think he's been here for a really long time now...

[Considering what he's learned about this place so far...]

Just another oddity about this place, probably. [But, of course, if Ven dwells on it, he'll give it more thought.]

[For a moment, Ven considers telling Terra about Sora, Heartless, and Nobodies...

But he shakes his head. That can wait until they're back in the village.]

Yeah, I guess so. There's a lot of weird stuff here. I think you'd like the Battledome, though.

[It's kind of like the Mirage Aerna!]

A battle dome, huh? [His interest is vaguely piqued, though it's probably clear he's still distracted.] You've been keeping up in your training?

You bet!

[Granted, it's not all he's been doing.]

But there's more to do around here besides training. I've made a bunch of new friends here, too.

Somehow, I'm not surprised. [Ven was just that type of kid, extroverted and excited about most things.] You've probably heard a lot of stories then.

Yup! But don't worry, I can introduce you to my friends once you get settled in.

[In fact, he plans to do just that, for better or worse.]

[Oh, he can definitely hear the unspoken intentions in that tone.]

Do I even have a choice? [It's not a serious question.]

[Terra puts up a hand in mock surrender.]
