Welcome to the New Feathers. I hope everyone's settling in all right. Things have been peaceful lately, and it's better than landing in Luceti in the middle of an experiment. I'm Terra, and I've been here for half a year now.

[...Stating it aloud like that just makes him feel old. But he sets out making the filter he's been practicing since Frederic showed it to him.]

I'd like to ask for some help from Ven's friends. You might also know him as "Ventus." Ven's been here a lot longer than me, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't had a chance to celebrate his birthday at all. There were plans for a surprise party, but things just ... kept happening. [The draft. Aqua's second disappearance. And now Kohan had ran off with little more than a note. There's a noticeable pause in the message before Terra continues.] I'd appreciate any help.

Sounds good. See you in a few. [And with that the journal's going shut and Roxas is heading out.]

[Terra closes his own journal shortly thereafter, putting it away as he heads north, towards the bridge.]

[perplexme]

[Give him a little bit of time but soon there's a Roxas approaching that bridge, his own journal in hand. He joins Terra up on the bridge, looking at the river instead.]

Hey. Waiting long?

No, not long. [Even if it had been, he didn't mind waiting for Roxas.] You like to finish tasks quickly, don't you?

[perplexme]

[There's a slightly sheepish smile.] I think it's habit...we used to have to finish our missions by the end of the day. Is that bad?

[erodingearth]

Not at all. It's a good habit, as long as you're doing those tasks well. [The talk about missions, though...] Was that all you ever did? Missions?

[perplexme]

Not always! We had a vacation once. [Roxas that's not a real answer.]

I got to have two though.

[erodingearth]

[Something about that sounds strangely sad, but he tries to keep the mood light.]

Two vacations, huh? Seems like you should have had more.

[perplexme]

It wasn't too bad. We'd go on our missions most days, and then I'd hang out in the afternoons with Axel and Xion before we'd RTC. We didn't have missions everyday, but most days.

[erodingearth]

So you've been friends for quite awhile. [There was a term there he didn't recognize, though.] RTC?

[perplexme]

If you're counting Luceti's time? Let's see...it's been about three years for me and Xion, and about four and a half for me and Axel. Hm? Oh. Return to Castle. It's something they taught me when I was first starting out with the Organization. When we would finish our missions we'd use the dark portals to RTC and rest up for the next day.

[erodingearth]

That's a long time. [Maybe comparable to how long he's known Ven, but not as long as he has known Aqua.] Dark portals to return to the castle... [That sounds awfully like--] The Lanes Between?

[perplexme]

Yeah, definitely. Sora's known his friends a lot longer though. [He pauses, giving Terra a curious look.] I think that's something different. The corridors were something only we could use.

[erodingearth]

It sounds a little like the way we would travel between worlds. But we'd of course have our Gliders.

[perplexme]

...Gliders? [Give him a sec to ponder.] Like that thing Ven was riding on a few drafts back?

[erodingearth]

Yeah. All three of us have Gliders, but they don't all look like Ven's.

[perplexme]

What does yours look like then?

[erodingearth]

[He tries to think of things he's seen, in books or with his own eyes, to compare his Glider to.]

Something like a bike. Doesn't require quite as much balance as Ven's does.

[perplexme]

Yeah probably not. Ven's looks more like my skateboard, even if I didn't get a good look at it. But I'll admit, kind of jealous you guys got those for transportation.

[erodingearth]

Not a lot of good they do us here, with them being sealed away by the barrier. Or... [He shakes his head faintly.] By whatever it is the barrier emits.

[perplexme]

They really only work outside of it? Ven didn't tell me that part.

[erodingearth]

Yeah. I don't really get it, being able to suppress the Keyblade's power like that. But Luceti is strange.

[perplexme]

It could be worse. There was a time when we couldn't summon the weapons away. We had to carry them everywhere. At least things seem to have gotten better.

[erodingearth]

You couldn't summon them away? [He's never heard of that.] Was it another experiment?

[perplexme]

[Headshake.] Well it might have been, I'm not sure. I sort of forgot all about it when things went back to normal.
