Welcome to the New Feathers. I hope everyone's settling in all right. Things have been peaceful lately, and it's better than landing in Luceti in the middle of an experiment. I'm Terra, and I've been here for half a year now.

I'd like to ask for some help from Ven's friends. You might also know him as "Ventus." Ven's been here a lot longer than me, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't had a chance to celebrate his birthday at all. There were plans for a surprise party, but things just ... kept happening. [His fingers close around the sides of the Wayfinder as he replies.]

Aqua made it. She made one for each of us, so we would be connected together.

I think so. Even when we're far apart, I can feel her strength.

...Terra, has anybody told you about the legend of the paopu fruit yet?

Is that the name of it? The star-shaped fruit? [It's been awhile, so he's quiet for a moment while he recalls.] That's why she made them, our Wayfinders -- because the charms are supposed to represent an ... unbreakable bond.

Right. The paopu fruit's special...if you share it with someone, your destinies become intertwined no matter how far apart you may be. Aqua must have known.

Sharing it? You mean, eating it?

Well yeah, it's fruit. What else would you do with it?

I don't know. I think I would be tempted to hang on to it.

Even if the effects weren't the same?

I guess that's true. I never heard of them until I got to the islands either. One of my friends from home? She thinks the legend of the paopu is so romantic. It's kind of silly, actually.

I guess I just never got around to it. [Kind of the truth. It's not like she didn't notice the boys fighting for her attention. It was easier just not to pick and love them both equally, that's all.]

I've ... heard about it. Haven't really seen an example of it, though. So they even look the same? That must be odd for you.

[He contemplates how to answer that. It didn't seem like something that could just be easily ignored, if the story had floated out to other worlds.] Well, I hope the paopu works its magic whenever you do.

They're pretty close, yeah. Different dress styles and my Selphie's younger than this one, but they look pretty close to being the same and they act the same in some ways. It's even weirder when both our version and another version of someone are here at the same time. That's happened with both Cloud and Aerith.

More like friends of Sora's that I've met. Sora's...kind of got a lot of friends from all over the worlds. People and animals...and I think even an alien? I guess world-travel does that for you.

Yeah, I think it comes with the traveling. [A quiet chuckle.] Sounds like something Ven would do -- visit other worlds and make as many friends as possible.

I've been finding a lot of similarities between Sora and Ven. Do you find that strange at all?
