[This takes place on Friday, the last day of the experiment.

Terra's been feeling a strong desire to train today. Pullups and pushups in the clearing, combat training in the battle dome... He's got stamina to spare, but there's no doubt he's pushing himself; usually he has the sense to stop once in awhile.

He can be seen in the forest near house 39 exercising in the morning or over in the battle dome past noon. ...Or maybe even passed out on the grass on his way back to the house, towards midnight.]

[Terra is about ready to move from his Critical Impact command style into a different one when he hears Riku, and he glances in his direction. Let him just finish off this one dummy--]

Here to practice, Riku?

Could say that.

[He smirks.]

But it looks like I'm not the only one.

I'm always practicing. Gotta keep in shape and grow even stronger. [He stops for a little while, letting more dummies populate the room before he brings his Keyblade in front of him. He aims, executing a Flame Salvo Shotlock with practiced ease.]

Hey, I can't blame you. It's better than sitting around.

[He'll go ahead and summon his Soul Eater.]

Mind if I join in?

[He pauses when he sees Riku summon his Keyblade, but nods firmly when he's ready to answer.] Want to show me what you've got?

You're on.

[Slipping into a battle stance now. This should be interesting!]

[And Terra swings his Keyblade off of his shoulder, nodding at Riku. Whenever he was ready.]

[Heh, perfect.

Riku's going to attack first, just as a test. He'll run in from the side, and while he might not be as fast as Ven, he's still pretty agile.]

[Master Eraqus had noticed early on that speed was not necessarily Terra's forte. By now, he knows exactly how to protect himself from those fast attackers.

Ends of the Earth's broad, flat surface acts as a shield, and he's vaguely impressed by the strength behind Riku's first strike.]

Not bad.

[Even as he says that, he aims to push Riku away, swinging his Keyblade in a wide, clearing arc.]

[Riku tries to block the blow with his sword, but given the size of the Keyblade and Terra's strength, it still pushes Riku back.

He'll quickly jump back and launch a quick firaga spell before waiting for Terra's next move.]

[He may not be able to speed around like Ven, but Terra can dash to try and close that gap between them. Of course, this leads to him slamming into the Firaga, and he staggers while he shakes it off.

But before long, he's trying that dash at Riku again -- this time with his Keyblade thrust forward and wrapped in flames.]

[Trying the same thing twice? Sure, the fire's a nice touch, but he was expecting a second try.

Riku dodge rolls to the side and charges straight for Terra. He's trying to land Impulse on him, but if there ever was the right time to counter attack, this is it!]

[Once Terra touches down again, he's got his full attention on Riku. He can't dodge, and he can't just keep on defending, so-- that's right, he concentrates and casts a Blizzaga spell.]

[And the spell hits Riku, right before he can land a hit! Shivering, he takes a moment to recover before throwing the Soul Eater at Terra for ~~strike raid~~ barrage.]

[Whoa. Terra was expecting a quick attack in response, but there's always something a little different about having having a weapon flung at you. He backs away, guarding against the flying Soul Eater.

It's not until he's sure the Soul Eater is bad on its way to Riku that he holds his Keyblade out in front of him, concentrating on a Shotlock. Since this is a practice match, he won't do anything too chaotic, but he does fire off two Flame Salvo shots, like Fire spells but just a little more persistent.]

[What the heck is...?

The shotlocks hit, sending Riku back a bit. It burns a little, but he manages to retaliate with a thundaga spell. Think fast!]

[Magic, his only weakness-- Well, no, but the spell definitely is enough to stagger Terra mid-step. He shakes his head, slow to regain his balance.]

[Then now's the perfect chance to run up to Terra and do a spinning attack. Heck yeah!]

[Terra will take a one strike from that spinning attack before he recovers enough to protect himself. The first clear chance he gets, he brings his Keyblade back and then swings it upward, aiming to lift Riku up into an aerial slam.]

[And it works like a charm! Riku's so close that he doesn't get much time to dodge, and with Terra's strength, it's easy to send him up into the air!]

[There we go. Terra follows up with a leap slash, not pulling off a full combo but getting in a good hit or two. With the extra air he adds though, he'll definitely land before Riku reacts or hits the ground.]

[Well, when Riku lands, Terra's in for a surprise, because as soon as he hits the ground, a cloud of darkness surrounds him. Those bright clothes he had before are quickly replaced by tighter and darker attire that should look a little familiar.

...whoops. Dark mode activate?]

[Terra starts when he sees that cloud of darkness appear, frowning in confusion when he sees a strangely familiar dark suit replace Riku's brighter clothes.]

What--? Riku!

[He can't articulate his shock beyond that.]

[He was afraid of this. Maybe he should've worn his cloak today... Darn it!

Still, he gets up to his feet, looking at Terra with an apologetic look.]

It's not what it looks like! [At least, he's not evil. The darkness is there, however.]

[He's understandably wary, and he blinks furiously as he tries to process what he's seeing. His grip on his Keyblade doesn't loosen.]

Riku, what happened? You're covered in darkness.
