[Cold. Overcast. It's a stark contrast to the warmth and rays that Terra had felt not too long ago, and he frowns at the skies like they'll tell him what's going on. No Keyblade, no clothes, no items ... and no memories of how he ended up here.

And that was without taking those strange wings into account.

He walks through the wet grass, pausing long enough to scoop up a book that barely sticks out against the tall grasses. He flips it open, scanning. Little boxes, little switches and buttons... He pushes a few of the buttons experimentally.]

Odd book. Doesn't look like a command board... Huh.

...Not the time for this.

[With a shrug, he snaps the journal shut, not aware that it had recorded what he was saying.

By the time he opens the journal again, he'll have made his way to the dd New Feather watch station. Somewhere fairly safe where he can dig up some ~~ill-fitting~~ clothes for himself.

He'll give the journal a second look now that he's at least found some shelter.]

[Ven was checking out the journals to see if anyone new showed up, but this?

[Sorry Ven. The only sound you'll hear is the thump sound as Terra shuts the journal.

...Give him some time.]

Terra, wait! It's me, Ven!

[Nope, he's not giving up. In fact, he'll probably keep trying to talk to him until he opens the journal again.]

[It's several minutes later, after Terra's gotten into the watch station and found a shirt and boots. He flips open the journal again, and is immediately bombarded by the voice messages that Ven left.]

Ven?

[Riku doesn't respond right away. It takes him a moment to listen to the message, look at the picture, and then think of what to say.

So it's probably pretty close to the time he reaches the station that Riku finally speaks up. Might as well stay calm...]

I'd keep that journal, if I were you.

You're really...

[Hold that thought, Terra. Ven's stepping out the door to his house right away; in fact, Terra might even hear that door slam.]

Where are you, Terra? I'll come find you!

It is. Most people use the journals to communicate; it's pretty convenient when you're far away.

[...Hm.]

If you can make it to the village, you should be able to find your clothes.

Where? [Terra tries his best not to look perplexed, but it's been awhile since he's seen Ven and he sounds ... anxious?] Outside, in a stone building in the middle of these plains. [But that's not important--]

Ven, what is going on? What are you doing here? [There's a lot of questions on his mind, but let's just start with a few.]

It's kinda complicated... I'll explain when I get there!

[Plains, plains... Maybe he's by one of the New Feather stations?]

D'you see anything else close by? Any landmarks?

Communicating from far away. [He absorbs that, a brow ticking up curiously.] Where's this village?

[While he asks, he wonders about this kid. He looks familiar, but that's ... gotta be a coincidence, right?]

That depends on where you are. If you see a river, follow it, and you should get there sooner or later. If not...

[Then it's a bit more complicated...]

[A long time? He fights back the urge to ask what that is supposed to mean, focusing on Ven's question.] There's mountains off to the east. I can see-- it looks like a river flowing down, heading south towards a forest. [Ah, the wonders of flatlands.]

[River, mountains... Aha! Then it's one of the stations alright.]

Try to follow the river, okay? I'll try and meet you halfway, then I'll tell you everything!

The river's a few miles away. I could follow it. [But he'll stay put while he continues inspecting the station.] Care to explain why I was robbed?

Happens to everyone who comes here. Your clothes and weapons end up in the shops, but you don't have to pay to get them back.

[A beat.]

But you will have to cut holes in them, unless you want to keep your wings folded all the time.

Right. [He's grabbed a raincoat, since it looks pretty miserable out there right now.] See you soon, Ven. [He'll be expecting some answers. Like why Ven was in some other world and not home.]

You too, Terra.

[Well, it might take a while, but as soon as he spots Terra, he'll do what he usually does and rush towards him while calling out his name.]

[It's been months. To think he'd finally come back after so long... Calling Ven excited would be a huge understatement.]

Well, that question can wait. He's a little more incredulous about something else.] So my stuff was taken away just to be placed somewhere else?

More or less. I wouldn't worry, though. Most people won't touch it, especially since it's a New Feather cycle.

[Which... will probably go over his head, so.]

Right now, people are showing up just about every day.

[Trudging along in clothes that don't feel like your own at all is ... well, not ideal. So Terra looks awfully grumpy as he makes his way towards where the river meets the treeline.

Of course, seeing his friend kinda does away with that feeling. It hasn't been months for him, but it's still been awhile.]

...Hey.

[Panting, panting... Maybe he shouldn't have run so fast, but darn it, it's Terra.]

Hey... Hope I didn't take too long.

[He's a wee bit exhausted from all that running, so pardon him if he sounds short of breath.]

"New Feather cycles"? [...] So these wings are common somehow.

Everyone has them. They take some getting used to, but after a while, you forget they're even there.

[He shrugs.]

You might be here a while, so you might as well get comfortable.

I think you were a little on the slow side. [He gives a half-smile at the tease. And since Ven's in the perfect position, Terra takes advantage to ruffle his friend's hair.]
