[Cold. Overcast. It's a stark contrast to the warmth and rays that Terra had felt not too long ago, and he frowns at the skies like they'll tell him what's going on. No Keyblade, no clothes, no items ... and no memories of how he ended up here.

And that was without taking those strange wings into account.

He walks through the wet grass, pausing long enough to scoop up a book that barely sticks out against the tall grasses. He flips it open, scanning. Little boxes, little switches and buttons... He pushes a few of the buttons experimentally.]

Odd book. Doesn't look like a command board... Huh.

...Not the time for this.

[With a shrug, he snaps the journal shut, not aware that it had recorded what he was saying.

By the time he opens the journal again, he'll have made his way to the dd New Feather watch station. Somewhere fairly safe where he can dig up some ~~ill-fitting~~ clothes for himself.

He'll give the journal a second look now that he's at least found some shelter.]

Kairi. [He repeats the name, and there's a pause as if he's regarding Ven for some sort of acknowledgment. Just how many friends had they made in their time here?] Nice to meet you. Through a book. [He muses over the oddness of that.]

Nice to meet you through a book, too. [She sounds a bit amused, almost as though she knows Terra's double-checking with Ven.] I'm sure we'll get a real introduction later when you're settled in, but for a while you'll probably be meeting a lot of people through the book.

Well, most of the people in the village are really nice, too.

[He grins.]

Most of 'em go out of their way to help New Feathers, and there's usually a party every cycle to welcome everybody.

[Well, that's quite a bit of relief right there. They never really did get all that resolved between them, and if Terra is willing to listen and not turn his back, then maybe she can make things right again. She hopes so, anyway.

It's a few moments before she speaks up again.]

...all right. I'll be waiting here for you both.

[There's something vaguely ominous about the way Roxas says those two last comments, so close to each other.]

Hopefully. You've been keeping an eye on him?

[He nods a little, already getting the idea that Kairi was right.] Just how many people have one of these books?

[Uh oh. There can only be one reason why Ven would mention that...]

Ven. A party?

I think it'd be fun if we went together.

[Pretty please with sugar on top? He looks pretty hopeful.]

[...Well. How can he say no if Ven's really been waiting around so long?]

All right. As long as I hear about what you and Aqua have been up to, beforehand.

It's a deal!

[Congrats, Terra. Ven looks even happier now, if that's possible.

Also, should they be nearing the village or forest at this point? Darn timelines.]

[Let us fast forward, then! ...This will give plenty of time for Terra to talk to everyone else that he does while they walk.

Terra looks a little surprised as he begins to see buildings in the distance.]

Looks bigger than I expected.

Yeah, for a village, it's pretty huge!

[He looks those buildings over with a smile. There's so much he has to show Terra. The bakery, the battle dome, the restaurants, the Welcome Center...]

When we get there, I can show you some of my favorite places. ...well, after we get back home. Aqua's probably worried about us by now.

[ normally, she might have passed this entry on by. there wasn't a lot here to really dig into...

... until she heard the voices. Ven, and Riku.

and she spends some time thinking about what she overhears Riku and Terra discussing. was that the secret he kept mentioning all that time? ... would it change anything, even if it was?

still... Riku aside, this person is really important to Ven. ]

So ... you're Terra.

[That's right, Terra. Take the bait.]

Something like that. I check what's going on with him now and then. I like keeping tabs on people that share a face with me.

Honestly? Just about everybody in the village. It's the main way people communicate around here.

[There is a pause as Terra hears the voice and looks at the person speaking in the journal. Was there something wrong with the picture, because--

No, that couldn't be right. Ven was right next to him, and this was quite a different voice.]

I'm starting to get the feeling Ven talks about me a lot.

[Why so vague, Roxas? This is really bugging Terra now.

...But since Roxas isn't giving him much to go on right now, he'll make another comment.]

You two are pretty different. Similar faces aside.

[ frankly ... she's completely forgotten how Aqua, Ven, and Vanitas all saw her as Ven at first. at least, forgotten that for the moment. so it doesn't occur to her at all that Terra might see her as...

... but maybe that's for the best. what he says draws a smile out of her. ]

He really admires you. And I think he and Aqua both missed you. So ... it's nice to have you here. Even if this isn't really ... the best place to be, all the time. [ kinda crooked smile. ]

[...Oh boy. Now he's a bit wary about what he needs to ask next.]

So they can hear everything I'm saying right now, can't they?

We're heading right back to where you're living, then? [He's feeling a little naked without his Keyblade.]

[Roxas is the king of vague. You'll understand the rules of the multiple Soras soon.]

We still haven't really figured out why. The similar faces, I mean. Ven and I never met before he came here or anything. Besides, I've seen and done a lot more than he has anyway.

Pretty much. That's how I knew you were here.

Not yet. We've still gotta get your stuff, but after that, we should probably see how Aqua's doing.

[He's way ahead of ya, bro.]

Is it fun? [... what, that's a totally important question.]

So I've heard. [It's a blunt answer, but what can he really say when he's being told all of these things at once? He knows how Ven feels about him, and Aqua... Well, he still had to talk to her.]
