[Cold. Overcast. It's a stark contrast to the warmth and rays that Terra had felt not too long ago, and he frowns at the skies like they'll tell him what's going on. No Keyblade, no clothes, no items ... and no memories of how he ended up here.

And that was without taking those strange wings into account.

He walks through the wet grass, pausing long enough to scoop up a book that barely sticks out against the tall grasses. He flips it open, scanning. Little boxes, little switches and buttons... He pushes a few of the buttons experimentally.]

Odd book. Doesn't look like a command board... Huh.

...Not the time for this.

[With a shrug, he snaps the journal shut, not aware that it had recorded what he was saying.

By the time he opens the journal again, he'll have made his way to the dd New Feather watch station. Somewhere fairly safe where he can dig up some ~~ill-fitting~~ clothes for himself.

He'll give the journal a second look now that he's at least found some shelter.]

[Considering their last conversation and his mood when he had left, Terra isn't sure how to feel about Aqua's words. They were his friends, and he had just made a resolution to himself...

But that didn't change what had happened.]

So you followed me even there. [He shakes his head.] It sounds like I'll be doing a lot of listening.

...Terra. [It stings a little and Aqua's grip on her journal tightens for a second. There's a lot she wants to say right now, to tell Terra how much Xehanort was lying to him, but she stops herself. That's something that needs to be done in person.]

Only if you will listen. Let Ven bring you back to the house at least.

[A short time ago, he would have rejected the idea outright--not so much following after Ven, but standing by and listening to what Aqua had to say. There was anger there, and that feeling of betrayal he couldn't quite rid himself of.

He thinks about his Keyblade and its newest form after that meeting with Riku. The name that seemed so right for it. Terra sighs to himself, but doesn't stop walking.]

I'll listen. [He has a feeling he won't like what he'll hear, but...] I owe you that much, for walking away before.

What's a command board?

[though he really only asked because he wasn't sure how else to initiate a conversation. "haven't I seen you somewhere before... a long time ago, maybe? why do I remember something about pirates?" only about 95 percent sure Terra's not a pirate, over here.]

[For a moment, Ven considers telling Terra about Sora, Heartless, and Nobodies...

But he shakes his head. That can wait until they're back in the village.]

Yeah, I guess so. There's a lot of weird stuff here. I think you'd like the Battledome, though.

[It's kind of like the Mirage Aerna!]

A battle dome, huh? [His interest is vaguely piqued, though it's probably clear he's still distracted.] You've been keeping up in your training?

Hm? [Considering this is a little later on, Terra is surprised someone's actually commenting on what he'd muttered.] It's a kind of game board.

You bet!

[Granted, it's not all he's been doing.]

But there's more to do around here besides training. I've made a bunch of new friends here, too.

[...so the third of the ~~body-snatcher~~ older trio has arrived. Okay, right. Roxas didn't really get a chance to meet Terra before, but he's a friend of Ven and Aqua's. He can't be too bad, right?

...except that's kind of an odd thing to say.]

Then it's probably not a command board then, is it?

[Give her a moment to analyze what's being said already. It's not as though the conversations are locked. She's figured out who this boy is.]

...so you're the mysterious Terra.

Somehow, I'm not surprised. [Ven was just that type of kid, extroverted and excited about most things.] You've probably heard a lot of stories then.

I guess not. [There's a pause as Terra regards that voice and face that the journal shows him. Looks somewhat like Ven, sounds somewhat like Ven... But there are differences.

And so he comes to a conclusion.]

You must be Roxas.

[Someone's gotta learn about this "lock" function on the journals. Soon. Terra makes a curious sound at the new voice.]

I don't know about "mysterious," but I'm Terra.

Yup! But don't worry, I can introduce you to my friends once you get settled in.

[In fact, he plans to do just that, for better or worse.]

[Oh, he can definitely hear the unspoken intentions in that tone.]

Do I even have a choice? [It's not a serious question.]

Heeey.

[Have a light nudge, bro.]

I think you'd like them.

[He's fairly surprised that Terra knows who he is, and so he doesn't respond for a bit. He's going to do his best to keep this casual, really.]

Yeah, I am. Who told you?

[Poor Terra. He and Sora can bond over being technologically challenged.]

Mysterious in that "I never got to meet you" sort of way. Are you okay? Did Aqua and Ven find you?

Ven told me there was someone here named Roxas who looked like him. So you must be Roxas, unless there's more of you. [Considering all the things he's been hearing since he arrived, he's taking this look-alike deal in stride.] I'm Terra.

[There are some questions in his head, but he figures he can ask Ven later.]

I'm fine. I'm making my way to the village with Ven. [The more conversations he has on this book, the more wary he becomes. Just how many people had these things and had heard what he'd said?]

Who are you? [Sorry, Kairi, he can be a little on the blunt side.]

Ven talks a lot sometimes, doesn't he? [He shrugs a little. He's not going to mention that some people like Vanitas can see Xion as him/Ven, but he's not going to say there isn't more of him around either.]

I know who you are. Ven told me about you, too. You're his other best friend, right?

That's good to hear at least. Ven's been around long enough that he'll know where he's going. [You have every reason to be suspicious, Terra. Really. Lucky for you, she's not offended by his bluntness. Riku's a lot like that, after all.]

I'm Kairi. I'm a friend of theirs. [Mostly Aqua, but details.]

[Terra puts up a hand in mock surrender.]

You're a pretty good judge of character, so I can believe that.

That's right. We've known each other for years. [He pauses again as he listens to Roxas. It's strange to hear that voice referring to Ven as a different person, with such an unfamiliar tone.]

Ven gets excited easily. [...Probably something of an understatement.]

That's what he made it sound like. [There's a bit of a snort. He's...very aware that's such an understatement.] Yeah, I know. I bet he's really glad that you're back. [There's a slight pause as well. Roxas...sort of feels as though he should run some things by Terra regarding Ven, but he's not sure now's the proper time to do it. New Feathers kind of freak out easily. Well, maybe a hint won't hurt.]

It's probably a good thing you're back, too.
